Target Project

  • Go to the Automation Studio and create a new project
  • Enter name: FirstSteps
  • Press Next
  • Consider that B&R project must located at B&R target folder at swiss.avm.up.doc.tutorial.first. Use one of multiple approaches for that:
    1. Rename target folder created by UP: up-gen_BR to FirstSteps. Name of B&R Project must be equal to folder name, since B&R Automation Studio creates a sub folder automatically. Name with '-' not supported by B&R Automation Studio.
    2. Delete up-gen_BR and create a new Folder, use Advanced mode, Link to alternate location (Browse project folder created by B&R Automation Studio), for further details contact Create linked target folder.
    3. Delete up-gen_BR folder outside of UPstudio (File Explorer). Create a symlink up-gen_BR to created Project folder from B&R Automation Studio.

  • Name of the configuration: Simulation
  • Press Next

  • Select Standard PC
  • Select PC
  • Press Finish

  • The code is being generated
  • To solve the display problems (some folder are not displayed correctly), the Automation Studio should be closed and reopened.
